What is ALPFA?
The Association of Latinx Professionals for America (ALPFA), established in Los Angeles in 1972, is the longest standing Latino national professional association, consisting of chapters across the United States and Puerto Rico. ALPFA is dedicated to enhancing opportunities for Latinos across all industries, including business related professions. ALPFA is a nonprofit entity registered with the Internal Revenue Service. Membership is open to anyone who shares our values, mission, and principles.

The ALPFA-UMD Chapter was founded in the fall semester of the 2010-11 academic year. Since then, our membership has grown to include a wide array of talented and diverse students who are looking to make a positive impact on the school and its community.
